K2 Weekly Activities: May 11-15
Religion:Our new virtue for the month of May is Gentleness. Here are a few activities you can try at home to explore our virtue of Be Gentle.

Math: Smack the number counting game
Take sticky notes and write numbers from 1-6 and stick them on a table or floor. Now roll the die and smack the number that you roll. To make it more challenging write numbers upto 12 and use two dice and add the 2 numbers to get your answer before smacking the corresponding number. Play with a family member and see who can smack the number first!
Language: Using stickers at home create a sticker story or label a sticker by sound outing out the word and writing what you hear beside the sticker.
If you have LEGO at home try creating the letters of the alphabet! See if you can create all 26 letters!
French: Visit the following website ‘Minimag’ and have a look through it. If you turn to pages 28-29 you will see kids telling about their pictures or favourite toys in French. Can you draw something or get your favourite toy and tell someone in your family about it in French?
Here are some words to help you: Colours: rouge, blue, jaune, vert, orange, violet Size: grand(e), moyen(ne), petit(e)
Try saying “Voici mon ______. C’est ________.”
(This is my ________. It is __________.”

Physical Education: Hot Lava
Here is a challenge for our Kinders! In your living room or backyard, create a path with towels, cushions, place mats or any suitable items. You can also make a tight rope line with masking tape/painters tape. Now try to walk on the line and the path you created without stepping on the floor or grass.
STEAM: Can you build a tower/house using a deck of cards?
OR
Art: Fork Flower Art
Create a beautiful spring flower painting using paint, paper and a fork!
Outdoor Learning: Can you paint or draw something in nature using its shadow? You will need it to be a sunny day!
